Order document comparison
Order Printer Pro alternative: compare what triggers the bill
Order Printer Pro is an established Shopify app with automation, bulk printing, customizable templates, translations, draft-order support and other capabilities. The durable difference considered here is narrower: its published tiers are based on monthly order count, while Witbur’s planned Shopify app meters documents actually generated.

| Question | Order Printer Pro | Witbur model |
|---|---|---|
| What sets the tier? | The Shopify App Store listing uses monthly order bands: up to 50, 51–500, 501–5,000, and 5,001+ orders. | The planned app counts a document only after a PDF is generated and a secure link is created. Store orders that never produce a document do not consume the allowance. |
| Published price | Free to install up to 50 monthly orders; $10/month for 51–500; $20/month for 501–5,000; $40/month for 5,001+. | The app is not listed yet. Its current launch plan is Free for 50 generated documents, $7/month for 500, and $15/month for 5,000. |
| Feature scope | The official listing repeats the same core feature list across its four tiers and also describes capabilities beyond Witbur’s v1 scope. | Every implemented document capability is planned on every tier. Paid plans remove the Witbur footer; Starter and Growth otherwise differ only by allowance. |
| Template editing | The listing states templates are customizable and describes full invoice customization via code and support. | The planned app uses a visual editor for logo, colours, fonts, blocks and columns; merchants are not given a Liquid or CSS authoring surface. |
Which billing basis fits your workflow?
A monthly-order tier is simple when nearly every order needs the same document workflow. Generated-document metering is different when paperwork is occasional: previews and untouched orders do not use the allowance. That distinction does not make either product universally preferable; it changes which store activity determines cost.
Feature breadth also matters. Order Printer Pro’s listing includes draft orders, quotes, automated delivery, metafields, translations, multi-currency, B2B support and an e-invoicing add-on. Witbur: PDF Invoices v1 is intentionally narrower: invoices, receipts, packing slips and return forms, with visual templates, bulk generation and secure links. It does not claim statutory e-invoicing, tax filing or country certification.
Before choosing
- Estimate how many store orders you receive each month.
- Separately estimate how many PDFs you actually generate.
- List any requirements outside Witbur’s four-document v1 scope.
- Test a real multi-line order, refund and long packing slip before committing.
